Cala della Sanguinara beach is located 12 km from Vieste and can be reached via the SP53. Once there, leave the car in a small dirt parking lot on the roadside and continue on foot along the path.

This beach is famous for its emerald green water, ideal for those who love underwater photography. In general it is a very naturalistic cove, surrounded by pine trees and sheltered from the winds. Due to its position, the sun rises a little late and sets early. The bottom is pebbly and gets deep quickly. Nearby Cala della Sabguinara beach there is also the “grotta dei pomodori” (cave of tomatoes), which can be visited by swimming or by boat. It takes its name from the clusters of red molluscs visible at the entrance to the cave.
