How to get there:<\/h2>\r\n

  • By car:<\/strong> take the Foggia exit from the motorway, keep right at the fork and follow the signs for Manfredonia\/San Giovanni Rotondo\/Gargano. Enter the SS673, then the SS89 and continue along the SP55 up to Monte Sant’Angelo.<\/li>\r\n
  • By train:<\/strong> get off at Foggia station and continue with a bus of the Ferrovie del Gargano line.<\/li>\r\n
  • By plane:<\/strong> The closest airports are Foggia, Bari and Pescara. Once landed you can opt for a bus with Ferrovie del Gargano or for car rental. What to see in Monte Sant’Angelo:<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n

    What to see in the village of Monte Sant\u2019Angelo:<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n

    The village of Monte Sant’Angelo has always been a pilgrimage destination<\/strong>, but before delving into the most famous things to see here, we want to suggest some different ones. The town is located at an altitude of 843 meters<\/strong>, surrounded by nature and overlooking the gulf of Manfredonia<\/strong>. We advise you to visit the historic center of Junno<\/strong> and the belvedere from which to admire the surrounding landscape.<\/p>\r\n

    Of course, a visit to the Castle,<\/strong> the sanctuary of San Michele Arcangelo<\/strong> and the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore<\/strong> is a must. Among other things, to get to the latter, you take a short stretch of the Via Crucis<\/em> among the grazing cows with a breathtaking view of the sea. Not far from the village, you can reach the hermitages of Pulsano<\/strong> and the Abbey of Santa Maria di Pulsano<\/strong> and the Umbra Forest.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n
