How to get
For those traveling by car there are two options. From the north, take the A14 Adriatica motorway (Bologna-Taranto) and exit at the Foggia tollbooth. Take the SS 673/Dir/SS 89 highway and continue on the SS89 towards the Provincial Road 55 for Monte Sant’Angelo. From the center and south, take the Foggia, Candela or Cerignola exit. Take the SS 673 Dir/SS 89 road and continue for 50 km on the Garganica/SS89 state road 89. Take the SS 89 towards the Provincial Road 55 for Monte Sant’Angelo. For those traveling by train, get off at the Foggia station and take a bus from the Ferrovie del Gargano or Sita sud towards Monte Sant’angelo. For those traveling by plane, get off at Bari airport and take the Pugliairbus bus towards Mattinata or the train to Foggia. From Foggia station you need to take the Ferrovie del Gargano or Sita sud bus towards Monte Sant’angelo. Junno district.
The historic center is very ancient. Walking through these streets is like taking a journey into the past, the all-white houses are adorned with beautiful flowers. It is also a real labyrinth, you will love getting lost in the narrow streets.The castle of Monte Sant’Angelo.
In the upper part of the town stands the imposing castle. It dates back to the first half of the 9th century. Various legends are told here, it is said that the ghost of Bianca Lancia, the lady of Frederick II, still appears on winter nights.

The sanctuary of San Michele Arcangelo.
Dedicated to the Archangel Michael who appeared 4 times over the centuries, right here in Monte Sant’Angelo. The sanctuary is built on a cave, nominated among the 10 most beautiful caves in the world in the ranking drawn up by National Geographic, it is the only Italian one in the ranking of the authoritative American magazine.

Church of Our Lady of the Angels.
It is located on a small hill and the view from here is wonderful. In fact, you can admire the Gulf of Manfredonia from above. The church was founded by St. Francis of Assisi, while he was returning from his pilgrimage from the sacred cave of St. Michael.The basilica of Pulsano and the Hermitages.
Built by the pope-monk Gregory the Great, it has been a meeting place for Eastern and Latin monks since the 6th century. Rich in history, the various reconstructions that have taken place over the years have been noted on the basilica.
