How to reach the Baia delle Zagare

The beach can be reached through the resort of the same name which takes you to the bay via a lift carved into the rock. Entrance to this beach is limited to a small number of people for this reason, in order to access the beach it is necessary to request permission from the municipality of Mattinata. If you love walking, you can take the paths accessible from the main road.

Mattinatella beach or Fontana delle Rose

This coast is made up of two beaches divided by a rock outcrop and surrounded by sedimentary coasts and tall pines. The white pebbles highlight the blue of the sea. Here it is possible to rent a kayak and visit the beautiful caves of the Gargano which are located to the left of the beach. The name of the beach derives from the fresh water spring that rises on the northernmost beach, called “Acqua delle rose” (water of roses).
