The village of Monte Sant’Angelo has always been a pilgrimage destination, but before delving into the most famous things to see here, we want to suggest some different ones. The town is located at an altitude of 843 meters, surrounded by nature and overlooking the gulf of Manfredonia. We advise you to visit the historic center of Junno and the belvedere from which to admire the surrounding landscape.
Of course, a visit to the Castle, the sanctuary of San Michele Arcangelo and the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore is a must. Among other things, to get to the latter, you take a short stretch of the Via Crucis among the grazing cows with a breathtaking view of the sea. Not far from the village, you can reach the hermitages of Pulsano and the Abbey of Santa Maria di Pulsano and the Umbra Forest.
