How to get to Mattinata
If you take the plane you can land at the Bari “Palese” airport or the Foggia “Gino Lisa” airport and then take public means of transfer. Finally, if you are traveling by train you need to get off at Foggia station and head towards Mattinata via public transport (Ferrovie del Gargano and SITA). For those traveling by car there are 3 main highways to take depending on where you are starting from:- From the North: A14 motorway (Bologna-Bari) and exit towards the Foggia toll booth and then merge onto the S.S.89 expressway for Mattinata
- From the South: A16 motorway (Taranto-Bari) and exit towards the Cerignola toll booth and then continue towards Manfredonia and take the S.S.89 Foggia-Mattinata highway
- From the Centre: A1 motorway (Roma-Napoli) exit at the Foggia toll booth and then merge onto the S.S. 89 for Mattinata.

Vignanotica beach
Vignanotica is one of the most beautiful beaches in Mattinata, characterized by an expanse of gravel and pebbles, magnificent caves and a high white cliff overlooking the sea. To reach the beach of Vignanotica, if you want to go trekking before getting there, you need to take the “path of love” to be taken from the provincial road 53 which connects Vieste to Mattinata. Alternatively, there is paid parking including a shuttle, which can be reached by following the signs for Vignanotica beach. The price is around 5-10 euros, depending on the period in which you want to go.Zagare Beach
