If you love wild bays, free and surrounded by nature then the beach of Portogreco is a must see. On this page we tell you how to reach it and its peculiarities. Enjoy the reading!

Portogreco beach is located between Vieste and Mattinata. It can be reached by taking the coastal road that connects the two locations. Once you arrive nearby, you can leave your car in a recess and continue for about 500 meters on foot along a wooded and gravel path that leads to the beach.
The beach is surrounded by imposing cliffs and immersed in a context of dense vegetation. These characteristics make it wild, and at times, exotic. The seabed is high and rocky, of those that become immediately deep. The sea is bright blue with cold currents. This beach is really for those who love to feel free in wild nature, in fact there are no services of any kind here except a kiosk where you can taste fresh fish. In the afternoon, the beach slowly becomes completely in the shade, ideal for those who prefer to spend time relaxing without fear of getting burned. Being very small, it can easily get crowded, so if you fear the crowd, the best choice is to arrive early in the morning and then leave in the direction of a larger bay where you can spend the rest of the day.
