Zaiana beach

Zaiana beach is a small bay set in the green of the Mediterranean scrub. We like to call it a beach with multiple personalities and by continuing to read you will understand why!

Zaina beach

How to get to Zaiana beach

The Zaiana beach is located 9 kilometers from the town and can be reached by taking the coast road between Peschici and Vieste. Along the way the indications are very clear so there is no difficulty in reaching it, except for the final stretch of road which is very steep and narrow. Once you arrive at the paid car park, to access the beach you have to go down a fairly steep path of steps and ramps, which is why we would like to suggest it to those who do not carry pushchairs/prams and have no difficulty in undertaking this type of route. Getting there by boat is also an excellent idea, as we always say discovering the Gargano and its numerous sea caves by sea is one of the most beautiful experiences to do in Puglia.

Description of Zaiana beach

Zaiana beach is sandy, set in the Mediterranean scrub and surrounded by Aleppo pines. The water is crystal clear with warm currents. This beach was once among the least frequented but today it can be quite crowded and its visitors are mostly very young, perhaps due to the access method we mentioned earlier. Describing this beach is actually very difficult, the landscape is truly breathtaking and absolutely deserves to be seen. The sun rises on the beach next door and sets on this offering an enchanting view, we suggest you stay until evening to admire it!

Grottone Manaccora

Next to Zaiane beach is the Grottone di Manaccora, also called “Grotta degli Dei”. It is a large natural cavity inhabited since the Bronze Age. In fact, the numerous archaeological finds testify to the use of the cavity as a place of worship, as a burial ground and as a residence. The cave is located on the beach of Manaccora which is adjacent to that of Zaiane so we advise you to take advantage of the proximity to see them both.

Many faces of one beach

We like to think that this beach has many personalities that somehow please everyone. A trait is free, you don’t need to pay anything to enjoy this wonder. Another is private, with a bar, sunbeds, umbrellas and even a food delivery service! If during the day this beach is all in all quiet, in the evening it gets wild. In fact, here it is not unusual for real beach parties to be organized that last all night and become a meeting point for the summer nightlife!
